Converting a Scanned Image into Accessible Document Using Acrobat
If you come across a document that is simply an image of text, meaning you cannot copy or highlight its text, you must run OCR (Optical Character Recognition) to make it accessible. Acrobat has the Scan & OCR tool to do this.
You can select a file, plus you can also scan a hard copy document if you have a scanner.
On the next screen, make sure the settings are English, Searchable Image, and 600 dpi.
Once you click the OK button, the image will be converted to an accessible PDF.
