Please note the following video caption guidelines before proceeding:
- All videos should be titled following this naming process:
- [Course Abbreviation, Course Number, Video Title]
- Example: PHAR 555 Introduction to Pharmacy
- Videos titled incorrectly and submitted for captioning will be returned to the instructor for corrections. These videos will then need to be resubmitted.
- [Course Abbreviation, Course Number, Video Title]
- All videos for online courses should be submitted for captioning.
- Videos for face-to-face courses are only captioned when the video is required viewing (rather than posted for review).
- If you have questions regarding captioning, contact canvas@unthsc.edu.
STEP 1
Navigate to any Canvas course and click on My Mediasite button, and then click Authorize
STEP 2
Click on Edit Details to the right of the video.
NOTE: Make sure to name the video according to the naming standard: course prefix number video title. example: BMSC 5302 Anatomy of a chromosome |
STEP 3
Click on the Delivery Tab
STEP 4
Click on Audio Transcriptions and then Choose an audio provider for captioning
STEP 5Click in the Select a Captioning Profile once and select Verbit 2 Day Turnaround Time.
STEP 6
Click Save.
ADA compliant (human checked) captions will be available within 48hrs.
